On
My Bike |

As
part of a new fitness regime in 2007, I
junked my clunky old bike in and oredered
a new custom-made hard-tail mountain bike
from the Big
Adventure Store.
During
the spring and summer months I can be found
cycling around Purton, Cricklade, Minety
and Ashton Keynes (before usually ending
at the Tawny Owl in Taw Hill for a swift
pint). |

I
entered and completed the 28 mile Macmillan Castles
Bike Ride in 2007 and 2008. |

Last
year, after moving to a new house with a larger garden,
I built a small raised vegetable bed and grew a few
carrots, beans, courgettes and tomatos. This year I
have added to the growing area with a second raised
bed, a small lean-to greenhouse and a selection of patio
planters.
This
year we will be growing: tomatos, chillies, herbs, cavalo
nero, broad beans, beetroot, carrots, potatoes, romanesco...
and more!
